A pair of last place teams get together tonight in the nation's capital, as the Washington Wizards host the Indiana Pacers at the Verizon Center.
The Pacers are in the basement in the Central standings and have dropped six in a row, including the first three tests of their current four-game road trip. In Saturday's 121-103 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center, T.J. Ford recorded a season-high 27 points, six assists and five rebounds.
Danny Granger finished with 14 points for the Pacers, who have lost six straight on the road and eight of nine overall.
Washington has dropped two in a row and five of its last six games, including Saturday's 104-89 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center.
Antawn Jamison had 17 points and nine rebounds and Wizards newcomer Mike James, who was acquired by Washington in a three-way trade with the Hornets and Grizzlies that also brought guard Javaris Crittenton to the Wizards, scored 16 points in defeat.
DeShawn Stevenson also had 16 points and Caron Butler added 15 and eight rebounds for Washington. Wizards interim head coach Ed Tapscott is 3-7 since taking over for the fired Eddie Jordan.
The Wizards, who are last in the Southeast, are 3-9 as the host this season.
Indiana and Washington split four meetings a year ago, with each team winning on its home floor. The Wizards have won 10 of the last 17 in the series.
The Pacers are winless in their last three trips to DC.
