Students to receive backpacks and supplies from the Pacers
Crestview Elementary School students will receive backpacks and supplies from the Indiana Pacers during a "Start Your Day With the Pacers"
event on Sept. 5.
Members of the Pacers Read to Achieve All -Star Reading Team, mascots Boomer and Bowser, and the Indiana Pacemates will be handing out backpacks and supplies at the Lawrence Township school as students arrive for the school day.
The Pacers Back Pack program began last year as a way for the NBA team to encourage higher school attendance rates and to supply students with the tools they need to succeed in school.
