Quick start for Rush in Kansas rout of Ohio
Brandon Rush made his first three three-pointers helping to spark a 19-0 run, and No. 3 Kansas won 88-51 over Ohio (6-3) Saturday in its inaugural appearance in Kansas City's new Sprint Center.
Brandon Rush, who'd been coming off the bench and easing back into action following knee surgery, made his first start of the season. He cooled off after his hot start but still wound up with 13 points.
"I was motivated," Brandon Rush said with a big smile.
Kansas guard Sherron Collins made his second appearance after missing six games while healing a stress fracture in his foot, and had 17 points on 7 of 9 shooting. The Jayhawks went to 10-0 for the 11th time in school history.
